In early 2017 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and 6 months later had robotic surgery to remove the tumour.  Thankfully the operation went well and I have since made a full recovery.  Being a keen cyclist before the operation helped my recovery and I was back on the bike within a couple of months of the operation.  

I now want to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK to help others who get caught by this increasingly common illness and hope they have as successful an outcome as I have had.

The Bann Wheelers have kindly agreed that proceeds from its annual Causeway Challenge sportive will go to Prostate Cancer UK in 2018.  I'm also doing a few other fundraising events at Coleraine FC and the Armoy Road Races.
