Story
Firstly, let me say a big thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
On , I will be taking the long and winding road from Alveston, to Launceston, .
Rather than jumping in the car or hopping on the train, I will be covering the distance on foot with my good friend Allan Blakeley, as he aims to raise a staggering £50,000 for charity.
But who’s Allan? As well as a friend, Allan is the Director of FedEx UK Supply Chain Services, and he is planning to walk 463 miles over 21 days to raise money for Mencap, a charity which is particularly close to his heart.
I will be joining Allan for the final week of his journey, covering an average of 22 miles per day and stopping off at some of the major FedEx depots along the way, until the finish on Friday, September 25.
However, as it’s still not quite time to stop the talk and walk the walk, it leaves me with a great opportunity to personally raise as much money as I can to help towards Allan’s total.
With your help and support I am aiming to raise £10,000 to put towards Allan’s final total. Mencap is a fantastic cause that supports thousands of parents, carers and people with a learning disability – so any donations, large or small, will be greatly received.
Thanks for your support
Michael
