Hi All

I am running in the Bournemouth Marathon 2013,

It seems that every year i either know someone or know of someone who goes to stay in The Rowans Hospice for their last days or weeks after battling cancer .This year has been no different and it was a very close friend of mine who we lost a couple of weeks ago.

I am running this event in honour of my close friend Steve Howden who lost his battle, he lived life to the full and loved his family and friends as much as he was loved by everyone who knew him and was very looked after at the Rowans .He was a battler right to the end and i told him i would run this in his honour .

I have been training hard all summer after joining the pompey joggers running up and down portsdown hill ,and i aim to make sure all that training will come to good effect for all the 26.2 miles i will run on October 6th .
