Story
Right then!
This here page is a way for you to give money for St Oswalds Hospice in Gosforth by sponsoring my attempts to run the Great North Run 2011. St Oswalds is an amazing organisation which provides palliative care to adults and children facing life limiting treatment. This means that they and their families can enjoy the best of what remains of their lives.
My mum was taken ill with lung cancer in 2004 and unfortunately died in 2005. But that last year was a great one and none of it would have been possible without St Oswalds, where she stayed for the last 6 months of her life.
Not everyone gets the luxury of this, but by sponsoring me in the Great North Run 2011 you will be helping St Oswalds help those it can, and you never know, help towards providing support for more families.
So please, give what you can and all you can afford. My target is £300, but that is poppycock and I want more, more I tell you!
Keep an eye out out for stuff on Facebook, where there will be more regular updates on the progress towards the target and hopefully, when I have worked out how, there will be the opportunity give more money by buying photos (not of me, those are free).
Strength and Honour, and may your man-boobs and love-handles wobble in unison with mine!
