Story
18 months ago we got the news that my cousin's cancer had returned and was terminal....I set about organising a fundraiser to send her off to a spa to take her mind off of all the treatment that she was to endure. The fundraiser was that much of a success the money raised helped to see Mikayla married by the end of January 2016! Sadly having put all her energy into organising a wedding in such a small space of time she became weak. February the 18th we got the phone call that my cousin had passed. Even though we knew she had cancer the news hit us like a bomb!!! Instantly I knew I wanted to do something in her memory, it had to be the London marathon! When it came the time to apply for this huge event I was going through all the different charities I could run for, one stood out. Children with Cancer. From the first time the cancer being dionosed, having an eye removed, right up until her passing she was an ear and voice for others in different parts of the world and the majority of these people were children diagnosed with cancer. I know this marathon is going to be a gigantic task but just knowing Mikala will be there with me at every mile will make it seem like a walk in the park!!!!
