Hi

Thanks so much for taking the time to read my funding profile, my name is Michael and I was born with 98% hearing loss and a wide range of SEN needs. Thanks to surgery and a lot of help growing up from my amazing family and a great support network working with me, I was able to overcome a lot of my SEN Challenges and finish Mainstream school.

When I finished school I was accepted into the Army, were I had a successful career for many years. I served in both Afghanistan and Iraq, were I sustained some very serious injuries there but have worked hard to recover and regain my movement. Now I have a successful career in Insurance claim handling for AXA.

Through my rehabilitation I discovered a love for strength training, now I am fully recovered I want to use my passion for training to do some good and help children with SEND Needs to show them that you can overcome what others may think are limitations, and go on to achieve amazing things.

The 5% challenge is to bench press my body weight, squat my body weight and then dead lift double my body weigh, its called the 5% challenge as only 5% of people can achieve this. I will be posting regular updates so people can see my progress, I aim to do this By December 1st 2023.

Little rascals Is a small Local, not for profit organisation that provides Care, services, funds and equipment to Children with disabilities and SEN needs. They Provide Holiday clubs Specifically designed for Children wit SEND needs as well as SEND specific play sessions within the play centre. Their  small Care company Also Takes children out an about in the community doing a variety of activities giving them a chance to learn new skills and socialise away from their families. Non of these services would be possible without the support of local fundraising and the community, I am so grateful to everyone that supports them to provide these services, and are helping up to grow and expand so they can provide even more services and a better experiences in the future.
