Story
Michael, Sarah, Freya and Sarah are raising money for Pilgrims Hospices by walking 20 miles from Canterbury to Dover on the Pilgrims Way Challenge on Saturday 19th June 2021!
Pilgrims Hospices cared for my wife, Kate, during her final days in her battle with cancer and your gift will help them continue this work. We supported them over nearly 25 years through their local lottery.
Kate loved to walk and this seems a fitting way to help those that helped her during her final days. Sarah will be carrying one of Kate's rucksacks, Freya will be wearing one of Kate's T shirts and the other Sarah will be wearing Kate's engagement ring. I'm not saying what I will be wearing ...
Pilgrims Hospices deliver skilled and compassionate end-of-life care, free of charge, to thousands of people in east Kent every year. They rely on charitable giving for 80% of their funding.
- £90 could pay for all of the medicines used on one of the inpatient units for 24 hours.
- £10 could pay for a patient's meals for the day
- £25 could pay for an hour of nursing care
- £35 could pay for complementary therapies to soothe a patient's anxieties
- £100 could pay for a therapy session to help a child coping with the loss of a loved one
Your support is appreciated and so important, thank you.
