Story
Hi, we are Mica & Lewis and both work for Wales & West Utilities the gas company!
Firstly thank you for taking the time to visit our page, here’s a bit about our story and the reason why we are raising funds for Teddy’s Wish.
Back in November 2021 we sadly lost our beautiful son Albie, as you can imagine this was a very difficult time for us and all in the height of Covid, there was no face to face support available for us at the time other than our amazing bereavement midwife and the wonderful staff at the Heath hospital.
Teddy’s wish; a small charity which funds research into the causes of baby loss. Providing hope for grieving families.
Teddy’s Wish reached out to us and sent us comfort packs and offered us 12 free counselling sessions which we were ever so grateful for, they gave us the most amazing support, comfort and hope, we can’t thank them enough for how much they really helped us through a very difficult time in our lives.
This charity event is in memory of Albie Garvey and all the babies out there that have gained their angel wings.
To give something back to the charity as a thank you, Lewis came up with the idea along with some of his work colleagues to raise some funds, and do a football event within work and involve all colleagues in Wales & England.
We are hoping this event will be a success and we will look to do this annually, alternating between Wales and England. The day will help us support more charities close to people within WWU.
The charity football match will be held on Saturday 16 July. Kick off will be at 2:00pm at Brislington Football Club, Ironmould Lane, Bristol BS4 5RS
We would really appreciate as much support from anyone who would like to come, bring the family along!
You will be your supporting fellow WWU colleagues.
Any donations are greatly appreciated x
Thank you from
Mica, Lewis & all colleagues at Wales & West Utilities
