"I have decided to run the great north run again this year. I have been pondering whether to do it again this year for a while, thinking about all the time and effort you have to dedicate into training, and how hard I find it- as I am not a natural runner. I figured that if it's not hard, its not worth doing. Last year when I was training I heard the news that Owen sadly lost his life, I couldn't believe it. It didn't occur to me until that day that someone so kind and young could lose their life. It instantly changed my outlook and I appreciated everything much more and saw things from a different perspective. Owen was always so kind to me whenever I visited Driffield and we had many fun times together. Seeing Tom (my boyfriend) so devastated by this news broke my heart. Owen lived his life to the full and always had a smile on his face and evidently was an incredibly popular young man. 

I am doing this because Owen, his family and friends supported the ABF and all the hard work they do in supporting soldiers and ex soldiers. Soldiers are incredibly brave individuals and should always be recognised for their hard work. 

Last year during training I thought a lot about Owen, so it was only right that I ran this year raising money for the ABF. Please please help me by donating. All your donations will go directly to the charity if you donate through this page and will all very appreciated.
