Story
The western world is undergoing a major crisis in COVID-19. We are in lockdown with limited access to food and supplies. But this is a temporary situation. For the people of Yemen, it is a permanent situation. We cannot begin to imagine their hardship, and this will only get worse as Ramadan approaches.
The war in Yemen has turned a poor country into a humanitarian catastrophe. Currently 22 million Yemeni families lack access to food, health care and safe water and can only rely on food aid alone. This number is only set to rise.
As a collective, we decided we would like to raise money for Muslim Hands. This includes but not limited to: Zeeshan, Asim, Dastgeer, Gulfraz, Haider, Haji Nasir, Hassan, Jaffer, Mukhtar, Munawar, Nasir, Qadush, Sameer, Tahir, and Yaser.
Muslim Hands have established a bread factory in Aden, Yemen, which is feeding thousands of people every day, and they are opening a second bread factory in Ma’rib, alhamdulillah.
£50 – produces 1,400 loaves of bread (feeds 700 people)
£100 – produces 2,800 loaves of bread (feeds 1,400 people)
£250 – produces 7,000 loaves of bread (feeds 3,500 people)
£500 – produces 14,000 loaves of bread (feeds 7,000 people)
£1,000 – produces 28,000 loaves of bread (feeds 14,000 people)
With the help of your donations/Zakat/Sadaqa, we would like to raise £5000 for Muslim Hands. These donations would supplement the Yemen Bread Factory appeal.
Your donations would not only help build the factory, but also feed people all year round, and provide jobs for many in need.
