Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my justgiving page!
In just under a year I will be returning to the Kingdom of Lesotho (Southern Africa) as part of the Kick4Life 2024 tour!
Kick4Life, as a charity and social enterprise have set out to change the lives and long-term prospects of vulnerable young people in Lesotho, through a wide range of social development activities focused on health, education and support towards sustainable livelihoods.
Kick4Life provides vulnerable children and young people of Lesotho with intensive academic support, football coaching and character development, with the aim of supporting them to student-athlete scholarships at international universities. Through the Academy they genuinely transform the lives of participants and have a measurable impact on the long-term sustainable development of Lesotho. Outside of this, Kick4Life also deliver a wide range of community programmes focused on health, education, life-skills development, gender and employability.
So far they have reached more than 250,000+ children & young people in Lesotho through these sports-based interventions and we're trying to play our part in making that number grow!
I've been lucky enough to take part in one of the Kick4Life tours with my sister back in 2018! It's that time again, but this time with the addition of some of my closest friends!
What started in 2005 with two brothers kicking a football for 250 miles across Malawi to now having a team in the Lesotho Premier League, from the community centre opening to the launch of their onsite hotel and restaurant and now the build of the Stadium of Life! Kick4Life continues to grow and diversify, each year building on the positive impact they're having in both their local and wider communities.
I have seen first hand what raised funds go towards and cannot stress how much of an amazing cause this is to support.
I'll be making my own contributions to help reach the goal but I’d love your support too!
We will also be looking at hosting a number of different initiatives over the coming months to help with my fundraising so please be sure to look out for updates and join us for any that appeal.
Thank you for your support. Wish me luck!
