***UPDATE***
We now have a new date for the cycle - it will now take place on 10th-12th August 2020.
***DUE TO REASONS BEYOND OUR CONTROL (COVID-19) WE HAVE HAD TO POSTPONE THE CYCLE UNTIL A LATER DATE***
On 23rd March 2020 I am cycling approximately 350miles around Northern Ireland stopping off at all 24 Irish Premiership & Championship football grounds, to ‘stamp out the stigma’ that’s attached to men’s mental health.
I will be joined by Edward Turkington & Stuart Dellow and we aim to complete the cycle in 3 days.
Bearing in mind I have never cycled before up until a few months ago (October 2019), so this will indeed be a big challenge for myself not only physically but mentally as well, but one I am really looking forward to completing.
Alot of people have asked me why I've set myself this challenge-
1 in 5 adults in Northern Ireland will show signs of a mental health.
I am 1 in 5! I have previously suffered from mental health and I am not ashamed to admit that. I wasn't in a good place and I took the first step and spoke to someone and from that day everything changed for me.
It is heartbreaking to see that people can't seem to find an alternative and that speaking out about their mental health and asking for help could potentially save their lives.
The increase in especially males ending their own lives is absolutely devastating!
Life is precious, it's good to talk, don't be ashamed, don't bottle it all up, by just talking to one person and telling them how you feel could potentially change everything.

We would be delighted if any cyclists or clubs would like to join us as we make our way around the grounds.
Anyone is more than welcome.
