Story
Merseyside Junior Mentoring support children aged 5-12 years who are experiencing difficulties which may be having a negative impact on their learning, confidence, and social skills.
A mentor develops a voluntary relationship with a child so that specific skills can be developed, such as anger management and communication skills. The mentor will also broaden the horizons and aspirations of the child. We expect volunteers to commit 12 months to the mentoring relationship, meeting with the child for 2 to 4 hours a week.
We are currently running a Christmas Pyjama Appeal in the hope to provide local children with new and cosy nightwear for Christmas Eve. We are hoping for donations in order to reach as many children and families in our local area as possible.
This has been a huge success in previous years and after such a tough year we’re hoping to reach more families than ever!
Please support in any way you can, by making a just giving donation, donating pyjamas or even just circulating this page to friends, family or colleagues.
