Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The pupils of Meoncross, a Coastal School in South Hampshire, are inspired by a visit from James Shone, of 'I can and I am' to join him in his Thames Big Row by rowing 128 miles in a single school day. Pupils from Year 6 to the Sixth Form will each row to raise money for the charity.
All monies raised by Meoncross pupils will go towards the overall fundraising target of £50,000 set by James Shone who will be rowing down the Thames from Lechlade to London over six days at the end of April for The Big Row. The school is hoping to reach its target of £500, supported by family, friends and members of the local Fareham community.
'I can and I am' is a charity that focuses on giving young people the tools to build belief in themselves and to develop the ability to deal with setbacks.
Meoncross School is committed to supporting pupil and staff well-being by providing opportunities to #give, #beactive, #connect, #keeplearning and #takenotice; our coastal school guiding ethos is inspired by these
five strands of well-being.
