Story
Please join us from 28th April until the middle of June as we attempt to walk, run or cycle 10,104 miles from Menai Bridge Rugby Club to the Six Nations rugby grounds of Wales, England, Scotland, Ireland, France and Italy, as well as the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg - venue of the first Lions v South Africa test in 2021.
We originally set a target of completing the 2,517 distance from Menai Bridge to the Six Nations home grounds between 28th April and the end of May. Thanks to the incredible efforts of players and supporters, that target was met within just 11 days! We've now extended the challenge to include a gruelling 7,587 mile trek to South Africa!
If you can’t join us please sponsor us, with all donations received going directly to support St David’s Hospice, a local charity which continues to provide high quality end of life hospice care to patients across Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
COVID-19 has hit St David’s Hospice’s finances hard. In March they were forced to close their charity shops, resulting in 90% of their income drying up. They have launched an appeal to raise more than £1m in 2020 to keep the doors of the hospice open.
We are asking anyone who wants to support us, including senior and junior players past and present, coaches, parents, sponsors and supporters to join us in this challenge, using the 60 minutes of daily exercise permitted under the Government’s stay at home guidance.
Anyone can get involved and it’s easy to take part. Whether you’re walking with your family, logging the distance you cover during your working day, or keeping fit by cycling or running – please join us and help raise much needed funds for St David’s Hospice.
