As-salamu alaykum everyone and Ramadan Mubarak!

As some of you generous and kind brothers and sisters will know, three years ago I lost my loving, beautiful mother (Salma Khan) and initiated a crowdfunding page to raise money in her loving memory to build a well in a country of need.

Through your donations, we managed to raise more money than expected to build not only one but TWO water wells located in Pakistan and Bangladesh through Penny Appeal - Thirst Relief.

This was intended to be her sadaqah jariyah (reoccurring charity) and Insha’Allah yours too.

Now with the holy month of Ramadan, we have decided to collaborate with Orphans In Need - Global Orphan Care to help orphans in countries such as Gaza, Somalia, Gambia, India, Nepal, Mali, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.

All children, particularly orphans, NEED a safe place to grow. Caring for orphans and nurturing them with the basics like food and clean clothes increases the likelihood of them becoming positive members of their communities. Changing their narrative from being vulnerable to resilient.

Every contribution from £1 to £10 to potentially more can help make a difference to these orphans including clothing, food, treatment to the severely or terminally sick, improvement of livelihoods in schools, building safer homes and helping widowed mothers feed their children! These are the basic and human rights of any child!

We are advised by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him to embrace an orphan by our muslim brothers and sisters by feeding him and giving him drink until he is independent of him so let’s not forget our orphan children during this difficult time Insha’Allah

All contributions will go to Orphans In Need - Global Orphan Care and Allah will reward you immensely for your contribution and for sharing with your friends and family Insha’Allah
