Hello lovely people! 

My team and I will be taking part in the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge on 13th May 2023 to help raise vital funds for Young Lives vs Cancer.  We offer support to people taking on challenges just like this one and have therefore decided to reverse roles!

Young Lives vs Cancer is a charity that helps children and young people (0-25) and their families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. As the cost of living crisis sweeps the UK, the families we support are having to deal with the uncontrollable costs of cancer alongside the fear of their child’s cancer diagnosis and the pressure is becoming unbearable.

The financial impact can be devastating - lots of travel for treatment, hotels, extra heating costs at home. It soon adds up, causing further anxiety and worry. A diagnosis can shatter a young cancer patients’ education, social lives and future prospects. They need support not just to survive cancer but to finish treatment with their future in their grasp. Young Lives vs Cancer helps them get their lives back on track, both during and after treatment.  

Our amazingly dedicated Social Workers are there to offer support from the moment the doctor says ‘cancer’ and beyond. You can see this video of Sofyan’s story here, which shows the real impact our Social Workers have.
