Story
As some people may know our beautiful baby girl Mabel was diagnosed with bilateral sensorineural mild hearing loss at just 2 months old. Mabel failed the normal newborn hearing test which is super common then failed her second one with the community midwifes. We were then handed over to the Elizabeth foundation who did longer testing on Mabel where she had sensors on her head and behind her ears, this testing confirmed she has got permanent hearing loss. We are currently in the middle of investigating, but just after an month and a half of being diagnosed Mabel got her first set of hearing aids! The support has been incredible and we are beyond happy that these early interventions can be made! Not only support for Mabel but for us as her family aswell.
The National Deaf Children's Society has been dedicated to improving the lives of deaf children and their families. By supporting my efforts, you can help ensure that these children continue to receive the crucial support they need, both now and in the future.
Throughout October, I'm committing to the challenge of doing 80 squats a day. (If anyone that knows me knows that this is going to be so tough🤣)
Every child should have the opportunity to embark on adventures, make new friends, and explore the world. Sadly, many deaf children are missing out on these experiences.
With your support, the National Deaf Children's Society can continue to be a lifeline for deaf children who need it. Together, we can break down the barriers that hold them back. Please consider sponsoring me generously to help make a lasting impact.
