Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Back in June last year my family’s world was turned upside down when my mum was as diagnosed with lymphoma a form of blood cancer. My mum the strong woman that she was said it is what is and took the long battle ahead in her stride. She took the many trips to hospital for appointments/treatment with a pinch of salt and I was so proud of her for the way she was dealing with it all and thought to my self what a amazing person she was and what a great role model I have to call my mum. Sadly in September things were to take a turn for the worse. We started to notice behaviour changes in my mum ones where we knew something wasn’t right here, so we got her admitted back to hospital. After many tests they couldn’t find out what was happening so she was admitted to a London hospital under one the top consultants for lymphoma. After many more tests it was found that the cancer had in fact gone to the brain which was not at all very common. And with this discovery it was decided that no more treatment was to be given as my mums heart was so weak as the cancer had also attacked that as well. Then sadly after a few weeks stay in a local hospice my mum passed away peacefully in her sleep mid November surrounded by her loved ones. So I am running this 10k run in honour of my brave beautiful mum as well as to raise as much money as I can for Macmillan to help fund research/ treatment for this awful thing that is cancer. Together we will win the fight against cancer!!!
