The west london branch of Epilepsy Action Sponsored Walk · 18 May 2014

Epilepsy Action is creating a world without limits for everyone affected by epilepsy, connecting people with others, and providing support and information you can trust. We’re calling out the misunderstanding, prejudice and barriers that stop people with epilepsy living their best life.

Story

On the 18 May 2014, the hottest day of the year so far, a bunch of
intrepid explorers set off on their sponsored walk for Epilepsy. Walking 4.2 miles from Ealing town hall to Ealing hospital and back, members of the West London branch of Epilepsy Action,  returned to base camp a little sweatier and thirstier than when they set off.       T
he aim of the walk was not only to raise funds for Epilepsy Action but to chat to people along the way,  answering questions and raising awareness about  Epilepsy.  It looks like over £1300 will be raised, but more important is how Melissa and the other  walkers raised the profile of Epilepsy in the local community.
