I am so excited to be able to go to South Africa to volunteer and give back to our wonderful World and its beautiful people. I cannot wait to get hands on and learn more about sustainable development. 

I'll be living with a host family, and helping the community in a team, in several different ways.

The first part of my placement is to raise £800 which will go towards the work of Tearfund and their ICS partners, making it possible for others like me to travel to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities. Tearfund is an amazing Christian family doing amazing work all over the World. I have 2 weeks left to reach this target.

ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development.
