Story
So I'm at it again! for the third and final time I'm running the London Marathon and raising money for the MS trust who are a great charity who helped me a lot when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosois is 2012.
It was a real shock getting diagnosed, I was only 25 and it was hard to come to terms with. But I'm a strong person who has great family and friends and I won't let MS win or beat me! So I decided not to dwell on the diagnosis but to raise as much money as I could to try and find a cure. I started treatment in 2016- which was a new tablet that the MS trust has researched with money from donations! Hopefully from the £12,000 that I had already raised for them!! I feel really proud that I have gone on to do a further 2 marathons and a sky dive last year.
And not to be selfish I thought I'd get my husband, Mum and best friends involved in the fundraising (sorry) haha! They all very bravely jumped out of the plane with me, and this year my husband and 2 best friends will be joining me in completing this years London Marathon. We have lots of fundraising events planned but any donations you can spare will really help me raise at least £2000 this year.
There is so much research at the moment about stem cell treatment for people with MS, unfortunately it isn't available to everyone, but with more donations I hope that in years to come I will be eliagable for it and be rid of MS for good!
So please help me raise as much as I can and I will do you all proud in crossing that finish line again in April!
Thanks Mel xxxxx
