Lucas is an amazing little boy who, due to a type of cerebral palsy, is currently unable to walk without help.  Lucas and his family are raising money through the organisation of lots of different fundraising events so that Lucas can have an operation and physiotherapy to enable him to walk more easily.  (more information can be found at http://www.justgiving.com/Lucas-FindingMyFeet).

My contribution to their fundraising effort and to the charity "Tree of Hope" who are helping Lucas, is to run 10K on Boxing day in the Round the Lakes run in Poole Park, Dorset.  I haven't run further than 5k before so it's going to be a difficult challenge for me, especially considering the day before is Christmas day and I will have consumed a fair amount of chocolate and wine! 

Any donation you can possibly make will be very much appreciated and will help Lucas and his family reach their target of £50,000.
