Story
Myself and 4 other mums will be doing the Edinburgh 26 mile moonwalk Marathon on 19th June 2010. We are hoping to raise money and awareness for Juvenile Diabetes a cause which is very much close to all of us.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation exists to find the cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications, and is the world's largest charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research. It was founded by a small group of parents of children with type 1 diabetes who recognised that insulin injections are not the cure for this life threatening and lifelong condition.
Your donation could help children as young as 5 cope with the everyday pressures of having this condition. Type 1 diabetes is a chronic, life threatening condition. People diagnosed with it rely on numerous insulin injections or pump infusions every day, just to stay alive.
