I'm doing the great north swim along with a friend from Uni, Linda Cole (who persuaded me this is a great idea!) on 4th September 2010 in aid of British Red Cross....Only it got cancelled due to Blue green algae!

Its now due to take place on 18th June, and hopefully I'll get to swim it this time

Its 1 mile outdoor swim across Lake Windermere in hopefully not too cold water!

I've been doing some training to get me in shape for this event, including a couple of outdoor swimming practice sessions (see photo above!)
