Story
After a few years of talking about it, I am finally taking the plunge and will be running in the London Marathon on Sunday 13th April. I am not much of a runner at all, and both the training and the actual event are an extreme challenge for me. I was delighted to be offered a place in the marathon for NAS. This is a charity that I hold very close to my heart, and have previously fundraised for them by walking up Ben Nevis in 2009.
My lovely big sister, Joanna has severe autism. Having a person in the family with severe autism can be a roller coaster, to say the least. Through all of the ups and downs, it is my my parents; who without fail continue to amaze me with their love, and selflessness.
Thank you to all of my friends and family who have offered me advice, motivation and company for my training. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page, and for sponsoring me. I really appreciate your support, and it is going to be a HUGE motivation for me on the big day to know that the money I have raised will help to make the world a better place for people living with autism, and their families.
