Story
For the last 2 years I have completed Ride London, 100 miles in one day. This year for various reasons, I am not taking part.
However, Children With Cancer UK sent me details of a virtual 100 mile cycle, just do 100 miles over July. Not boasting, but for me, this would be easy, so I have upped the challenge to try and achieve 400 miles, just in July. (So far this year since January I have cycled 650 miles so it's quite a challenge to do 400 in 1 month.)
This will be a challenge - I have a full time job, and a busy life outside of work, so most of my free time will need to be given to complete this challenge.
Having lost my sister to Leukaemia when I was 13, this charity has always been close to my heart, so please donate if you can, and look out for me on the roads of South Northants!
The info below is from Children with Cancer UK.
Almost 4,000 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. That’s ten every day. Children with Cancer UK is the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. We fund life-saving research into the causes, prevention and treatment of childhood cancer and we work to protect young lives through essential welfare programmes.
