Story

I ran the Edinburgh Marathon in ridiculous heat to raise money for a charity called 'Heart Link'.

My beautiful niece, Lucie, has Downs Syndrome and was born with heart problems. When she was strong enough at 6 months old she had open heart surgery. She was in and out of hospital for 10 days and has recovered well, she is strong and is the happiest baby.

While Lucie was in hospital her mum, dad, brothers and sisters were able to visit and stay with her due to the incredible facilities provided by Heart Link. They had thought of everything so that my sister could just focus on Lucie.

If you can find a few pounds to help them keep doing what they do so well then the torture that lasted 4 hours and 51 minutes pounding the streets of Edinburgh was worth every step!
