Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This September I will be completing the Sussex Coastal Challenge, using my passion to keep active to support a charity very close to my heart. I became involved with the Children’s Air Ambulance when I was a pregnant. Now I’m a mum it is even more important to me.
I’m aiming to help raise money for the Children’s Air Ambulance, by trekking 22 miles through the countryside with a group of likeminded supporters.
The Children’s Air Ambulance is a national service, changing the face of paediatric care through the high speed transfer of critically ill children. It flies them from one hospital to another for specialist care. It is the first and only dedicated paediatric helicopter emergency transfer service in the country.
My son Finley was ill when he was a baby and I became even more conscious of the importance work of the Children’s Air Ambulance and I would urge everyone to support such a fantastic cause.
Last year, I was fortunate enough to meet a little boy that had been helped by the service, and I was so pleased to see how well he was doing six months on. He’s now celebrated his first birthday and is an extremely happy and healthy baby boy. You can read about some of the children they’ve already helped on their website. www.thechildrensairambulance.org.ouk
Each transfer the Children’s Air Ambulance complete costs approximately £2,800 but the charity receive no government funding and rely on voluntary donations and sponsored events - just like this one I’m taking part in - to raise the money they need to run this incredible service.
Your support would mean a great deal, not just to me, but also to all of the families that will benefit from the work of the Children’s Air Ambulance. Please give what you can.
