Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Alzheimer's is something our family has to deal with on a daily basis… My dear Nana (Nana Dottie) was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s back in 2009 after showing signs of developing this horrid illness for a number of years.
It’s vitally important to our family that Nana Dottie remains in her own home to retain her identity and independence. My wonderful Mum cares for my Nana daily so she can remain at home, she does this with the help of carers, family and friends.
Nothing can prepare you for how hard it is to see a loved one decline at such speed and I am sure I can speak on behalf of her whole family in saying that it has been heartbreaking for us all.
I along with my mum, sister, niece and cousin are doing this walk to help support the
Alzheimer's Society and to make a bit of a difference with the money we raise.
Thank you for reading my page, I would be extremely grateful if you are able to contribute to help our cause.
love
