Thames Path Challenge 2015 · 12 September 2015 to 13 September 2015 ·
So many of us are touched by Cancer so please take some time and read my story and donate as much as you can to try and beat this monster.
I have done so many things for Charity in the last 4-5yrs: Cycled 400 miles East Coast to West Coastof Britain 4 times(will be the 5th this year), Run marathons, compete in Iron Distance triathlons, organise events, bake cakes, shave my hair off, wash cars and run every day for 125days.
Not so long ago I was thinking what to do next. While sitting on the sofa with Mark my husband we decided that we were going to go Ultra. Yes Ultra not 30 miles or even 50 miles but 100k (62 miles). We thought if we were going to put our bodies through this then we need to raise some money in doing so. The pain our bodies will be put through will be no where near what some family and friends have been through or going through. (Some who have beaten the disease and those who have been taken away from us).
The Challenge date is Saturday 12th September 2015 will start at Putney Bridge and go along the Thames Path all the way to Henley On Thames. We thought, how the hell do we train for this so we thought it would be sensible to sign up for a 42 mile warm up with another event called: Run to the Castle which starts at Aberdyfi and goes along the coastal path up to Harlech Castle...
Training has already started so we will be asking as many people to support us and give as much as you can. Mark has not even done a Marathon but is dedicated and committed and we are both looking forward and pushing ourselves to our limit for such a great cause.
