Story
So its come to that time of year again for a Melanie challenge. For the last few years I have cycled and walked up mountains, sometimes through the night (not the mountain!). This year its a different challenge and an early start - cycle 10.5 miles, climb up Snowdon back down....9 miles and 2.5 miles kyak at the end - all in a day!!!!
I get my sporty and competitive side from my Dad who from a young age was sporty... check out the picture!. Yet despite being fit and appearing healthy was taken from us at the tender age of 56 by a heart attack. I'll never forget that day and every event I do for BHF, personally challenges me every year in his memory.
Please help me raise money; I can honestly say knowing what I have raised though your generosity 100% helps me grit my teeth and get through the tough times of a challenge to ensure those who support me know I have pushed through the pain and shear will barrier!
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
