Story

This year the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association is celebrating 90 years of its life-changing work. I have been privileged to be a part of it for 32 years. My guide dogs have enabled me to live the life I choose and be the person I want to be.

During the week commencing 3rd May 2021 I plan to walk 100,000 steps and raise £90,000! That's £1000 for every year this amazing organisation has been in existence!

£90,000 seems like an incredibly tall order, but I believe, with your generous help, I can do it!

Thank you for visiting my page, you've taken the first step with me. Please sponsor me, as little as £2 helps to make a real difference.

Once you've done that, please don't rush away. The next stage is to share my page with your families, friends and colleagues. Once you've sponsored me and shared the page, your work is done! Just sit back and watch this page grow!

All I'm asking for is £2 and a few mouse clicks, no obligation after that.

I am so excited about this project I hope you are too! Let's see what we can do together with the power of social media.

How your funds will change lives

£50 could pay for fun, tactile activities to help children with sight loss co-ordinate their muscles and movements.

£96 could pay for an eye test each for two guide dogs in training

£116 could buy a Training School Kit for one of our guide dog trainers who will teach pups the specialist skills they need as fully qualified guide dogs.-

£710 could buy a Birthing Kit containing all the essential equipment for a guide dog mum to safely deliver her puppies.

It's thanks to people like you that Guide Dogs can continue to provide their incredible services. without you I wouldn't have the lovely Elsa to take on this challenge with me.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
