Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you may all know, I was attempting to complete my second Robin Hood Half Marathon on September 11th 2011. Sadly due to illness the night before I was unable to attend the race however I have now entered the Leicester Half Marathon on the 9th October 2011. I am hoping to complete the run in under 2 hours and will continue to raise money for a charity that has touched both mine and Emma's hearts, this being the Rosie May Memorial Fund www.rosie-may.com
A young innocent girl of 10 was taken away from this world back in 2003 when her life tragically ended when she was murdered at a Christmas party.
Her parents, family and friends set up the Rosie May Memorial Fund to make something good occur from such an awful and upsetting time in their lifes. The charity is now growing in strength and has to date built an orphanage in Sri Lanka housing 20 girls who were orphaned after the terrible tsunami that occured the following year after Rosie May's death. The charity also continues to contribute to numerous other children's projects both home and abroad.
It would be great if you could assist in me reaching my target for such a well deserving charity.
