Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity saving and changing children’s lives through medical research.

60,000 babies are born prematurely in the UK every year. Over 1000 babies die each year due to being born prematurely. Globally it is the biggest killer of children under 5. Despite these shocking statistics, and the enormous impact premature birth has on babies and their families, research in this area is still under-funded, limiting efforts to develop treatments to help prevent preterm birth in the future.

My son Albie was born 8 weeks early and when I heard about this campaign I couldn’t wait to fundraise for them.
