Story
We have decided now the last of us have reached our 6th Decade it was time to give ourselves a challenge that would push us very hard, but we hope will be achievable and in the process raise some money for this great charity.
Action Medical Research are the leading UK charity funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people.
Between us we have all known young people that have suffered through illness and worse, all of these young people are at the beginning of their lifes adventure and should be allowed to finish their journey. Hopefully with the research Actional Medical Research are doing more young lives will be prolonged ultimately saved..
The cycle section will see us take on a 40 mile bike ride around the imposing Skiddaw mountain, on winding roads our route takes in the banks of Bassenthwaite Lake
In an open-top canoes our team will navigate a 2-mile water course across Derwent Water.
For the hike it's just the small matter of summiting Skiddaw on an 11 mile round trip to an altitude of 931m. I’m exhausted just writing it!!!
