DOUBLE YOUR DONATIONS THIS RAMADAN!
Zakat and Sadaqah donations to the British Asian Trust from now, including Ramadan, until the end of May 2021, will be doubled by the UK government to enable people in the poorest parts of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to be free from poverty.
Up to £2m of the matched funds will go towards the British Asian Trust’s Women’s Economic Empowerment programme in Pakistan.
- £100 One-off - donation becomes £200 which could help two women in a rural community start their own businesses, by equipping them with solar dryers to dry spices that can be sold at market.
- £ 250One-off - donation becomes £500 which could provide 16 women with seeds to grow and harvest food for market, helping to form the beginnings of a sustainable farming business.
- £ 500One-off - donation becomes £1,000 which could help train 20 women in agricultural techniques and enterprise management, so that they can run their own farming businesses and gain sustainable incomes for the future.
