Hello everyone. Assalamu' Alaikum and thank you for visiting my JustGiving page!

The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money for Syrian refugees in several refugee camps across Jordan, who are currently amongst the most vulnerable individuals in the world. As of March 2017, there are 13.5 million Syrians in need of humanitarian assistance (almost 3 times the population of New Zealand!) - over 5 million of whom have fled the country. In many cases, women and children caught up in this crisis have fared the worst, losing family members to the violence, suffering physical and psychological trauma, falling victim to sexual violence or losing essential primary/secondary education. As the conflict enters its seventh year, the Syrian crisis has been called the worst humanitarian crisis of our time and remains one of the most complex and dynamic issues in the world today. 

The money you donate will go towards providing essential on-the-ground aid that the Syrian refugees are desperately in need of, in the form of food, Water and Sanitation kits, Emergency health kits, nutrition supplements and sanitation and reproductive kits. You can help via a simple one off donation or through the payment of your yearly Zakat - any amount you are able to contribute would be very much appreciated and could save a life. 

The organisation that will be delivering this is called Human Relief Foundation (HRF), a humanitarian organisation which helps some of the most vulnerable individuals in various locations around the world. HRF focuses on promoting sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities through relief and developmental programmes, supporting them to build a better life and find their own solutions to global problems.
