Mental Health 🧡 10 days ago we received some really awful news in store that completely shocked our Rogerstone family. Unfortunately one of our colleagues decided life wasn’t worth living anymore and decided to take his own life. 

As a collective we’ve experienced so many emotions from anger to pain, blame and helplessness. From this I knew I needed to do something and as such have decided that I will be participating in a charity abseil, 131ft down St David’s hotel, Cardiff Bay in 20 days time! My goal is to raise £500 for bigmoose, a charity close to my heart as many of you know and who’s work I’ve witnessed first hand who’s goal is to help people with their mental health and suicide prevention.

I have given myself the target of £500 and will be asking the Morrisons Foundation for match funding to take the total to £1000 which will fund for over 2 people to see a therapist and potentially save lives.

All donations will be so gratefully appreciated for this really important cause and life saving work. Mental Health is so important to talk about, please always remember that you don’t have to struggle in silence.

during lockdown we were providing therapy for lots of people and were told by five people that without our intervention they would have ended their lives.due to early and impactful intervention 5 people were still alive. 5 families weren't grieving and the world still had these amazing humans in it. we listened to people's stories & one thing that we kept hearing was that the therapy & intervention that people needed was taking too long and was inaccessible for so many. and so, just like that, project 1 million was born. throughout 2022 we are aiming to raise £1,000,000 which will be used to provide therapy and early intervention for people.this is a huge goal and we cannot do it alone. our goal is to help people with their mental health, prevent suicide and reduce homelessness. we will achieve our goal and we will save lives. in 2020, 5224 people killed themselves in england and wales. this project will help to reduce this number. we hope you will join us.
