The Fair Earth Foundation CIO, a registered UK charity, runs a special challenge, every month, to climb El Teide, the third highest volcano in the world. This is a gruelling, arduous challenge but the view at night of the stars and the breaking dawn over the magnificent crater make it consistently the single best experience of our volunteers in Tenerife over the last thirty years - thousands have taken up the challenge!!

The money raised from my fundraising challenge is going to the Caiman House in Yupukari village in the Rupununi region of Guyana. The Caiman House is a non-profit that supports and develops community-owned social enterprises. Their approach to conservation encompasses wildlife and environmental research, education, economic development and cultural preservation of the local indigenous languages and crafts.
