Story
I have been a student at Fortune College, part of the Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy, for three years. Being around the horses has helped me to manage my emotions and my behaviour better and I have learned more about maths, English, independent living skills, travelling on public transport, work experience and more.
I was supposed to be doing the Bransgore Fun Run in June to raise money for FCRT, but it was cancelled because of Covid-19. Instead, I now have a new challenge!
With the support of White Star Running, I am now using all the independent travel skills that I've learned at Fortune College to navigate across the New Forest, linking the three FCRT sites of Avon Tyrrell, Wootton Hall Farm and LanFranco House. I will be running the 12 mile route with the support of staff on Friday 17th July to raise money for FCRT.
