Story
Hiya everyone!
My name is Megan and I'm doing race for life this year in memory of my mum, Tracy Murray. My mum battled breast cancer for many years and she passed away on the 11th of May 2013.
People talk about "beating" breast cancer and I admire everyone who has, but my mum wasn't "defeated". She won because she kept on smiling. The most positive, grateful and selfless person I will ever know. :)
She was my hero and an inspiration to everyone she met. Everyone who knows me will know that I lost my very best friend as well as my mum last year. If I do anything in my life I hope it's making her proud and being half the person she was. :)
"Hold your family close to your heart with love, always laugh and always smile"
Cancer Research UK do great work and I want to raise breast cancer awareness to all women out there. It is something I feel strongly about and so no donation is too small. Anything we can do to make a difference.
I am doing Race For Life 2014 with my three best friends; Jennie, Alex and Amy. We all have been affected by cancer and we are all doing this in memory of the many many people who fight or have fought it every day.
Thanks for visiting my Race for Life page. Even the fact that you clicked on the link means a lot to us! Please dig deep and sponsor me online - it's quick, easy and totally secure.
