Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon 2013 to raise some funds in memory of my beautiful niece-in-law Robyn who sadly lost her life on the 27th of May at age 11. Robyn unfortunately had struggled with health issues her whole life and because of that spent a lot of her time in the care of the wonderful healthcare providers at Yorkhill Children's Hospital. All of the money I raise will go to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Yorkhill, where Robyn had spent a lot of time receiving care and support. This unit provides specialised care and support facilities for critically ill children and their families.
Many of you, who know me, will know I am not a runner ...at all! But I am taking inspiration from Robyn's wonderful example she set to everyone that it doesn't matter if it seems you won't be capable of doing something, that in fact you should try everything you can and you will be able to do whatever you set your mind to. Robyn was the most determined and independent little girl despite all the barriers she had to face, I am so proud of everything she achieved and glad to have been lucky enough to have had her and David join our family. So please help me raise as much as possible for Yorkhill Children's Hospital and the memory of such an amazing little girl!
