Story
I am running the London Marathon 2014 in memory of Matthew Pinnock. In December 2012 Matthew sadly died of an aggressive brain tumour at the age of 22.
We have known the Pinnock family for many years. Memories of us all sharing holidays, days out, Christmas Eve's, firework nights, birthday parties and nights in just being silly and having so much fun together are now special memories to be treasured forever.
A few years ago while out with Carolyn and Richard we got onto the subject of ambitions. I said mine was to run the London Marathon. Much laughter followed as many of you who know me well would agree! However this is our time to run and I feel privileged to be part of the marathon and raise funds for CLIC Sargent who provided so much support for both Matthew and the Pinnock family.
The Marathon will be a huge venture and the memory of Matthew will keep me going. I am thankful I was part of his life watching him grow up and will never forget what a lovely person he was.He touched so many people's hearts and continues to do so.
