Story
I have noticed a huge difference in my own health and wellbeing this year since I made the effort to run more and I wanted to give myself something to aim for. I chose to enter the Dunoon Ultra as it is local, not tooooo long and a beautiful route. Some of the training runs are long but when I find the going a bit tough, I always think of my school friend Steph and her daughter Kia. Kia has to work harder than I will ever know to be able to do things I take for granted like sitting unaided, pedal a bike and stand. Steph devotes everything she has to Kia and she was delighted when Kia was able to start attending Craighalbert School. As Kia has been my running inspiration for a long time, it seems right that I give her something back to say thank you and well done for being a fighter.
