Story
My brother Aidan and I will be running the Great North Run to raise money for the Stroke Association.
We are running in memory of our wonderful Gran and Grandad who we lost in 2019, both of whom were affected by strokes during their lifetimes. These experiences demonstrated the importance of support in rebuilding lives after strokes, as well as the detrimental impact on patients and their families.
We had planned to run the Great North Run in 2020 in their memory and to help raise money for this great cause, but due to covid we'll be running this year instead. Stroke Association provide specialist support, fund critical research and campaign to make sure people affected by strokes get the very best care and support to rebuild their lives. Please if you have the time have a read of their website.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Stroke Association: "When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives."
