Story

Thanks for supporting my fundraising. Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe, JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.

"Some people arrive and make such a beautiful impact on your life, you can barely remember what life was like without them"  - This quote is personal for me in more ways than one.

I am taking part in the Edinburgh half marathon on the 28th of May to raise funds for MacMillian Cancer Research. This is a race personal to my heart. Back in 2020 my father in law was diagnosed with prostate cancer which has resulted in many hours of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I am in awe of how Gordon has dealt with this gruelling treatment while still being a caring and considerate father/husband and grandad!

Gordon is a person like no other, I have been so lucky to meet him and have him as part of my life for the past 11 years. As a grandad to Jake and Conor, he continues to guide them and show them an abundance of love which is felt through the whole family.

We will continue to fight this as a family and support Gordon as much as we possibly can! Any donations for MacMillian will go to help so many people dealing with cancer. Donations don't just help with treatment but with support for the individual but their families also!
