Hi All

Thank you very much for taking the first step and visiting my Just Giving web page. I am running the Great North Run on the 16th September 2012. The GNR is a 13 mile run from Newcastle to the coast at South Shields. Not only am I running the GNR for a personal challenge and (to hopefully run it faster than I did in 2008) but also because it is a great opportunity to raise money for Kidney Research UK. Kidney Research UK carry out vital research into the prevention, treatment and management of kidney disease. At this exact moment in time over three million people in the UK are threatened by chronic kidney disease. A statistic that shocked me was that of the 7,655 people that are on the organ transplant waiting list 7,000 of them need a kidney.

Therefore, in order to make a change to someone’s life right now and to help me raise the money, please dig deep.
