My mum recently passed away on the 05/08/2013 after a short but well fought battle with mouth and throat cancer. Everyday she kept positive and set herself little challenges such as going m&ds to play bingo and making it through the kids birthdays. Her final challenge was to make it to my birthday which is also the 5th of August and she done it for a few hours before sadly losing her battle at St Columbas Hospice. Now im setting myself the challenge to abseil down the bridge and raise funds for st columbas. My mum stayed here twice during her battle and called it her safe place. She loved it here and all the nurses who not only provided care but became her friends. Shes got us dropping off doughnuts every month for a year. Every penny helps whether little or large so please help out an amazing cause. Thanks :)
