Story
On Saturday 18th October, me and five friends - Poppy, Hettie, Maddy, Freya and Ella - are doing a sponsored walk in our pyjamas, in aid of the National Brain Appeal.
The National Brain Appeal raises money for the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, one of the worlds leading hospitals for diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as brain cancer, MS, dementia and epilepsy. It is where, over the last few months, my Dad has been receiving treatment for a brain tumour.
The National Brain Appeal fully funded the ward on which he stayed, the newly opened Molly Lane Fox Unit. Their current appeal is the Operating Theatres Appeal, aiming to raise funds to upgrade their theatres suite, help reduce waiting times for surgery and improve patient care and outcomes.
